This is post #200 on this blog, and I thought I'd do something a little different - so here's my personal "Appendix N". Most of my books are in boxes; I'll come back and update this post with additional names, titles, and commentary as they are unearthed. The initial list here is fantasy, but I may expand it in the future to other genres.

Very nice, I have recently become interested in other GM's Appendix N authors, so this post is very fortuitous. Mine is a bit mixed media, lol. Later!
ReplyDeleteI don't know half or more of the authors you mention, but the ones I do recognize I have read and enjoys, especially Gene Wolfe and Glen Cooke of the ones not mentioned in the _Dungeon Master's Guide_.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on post #200. I think I know about 70% of the list. Some interesting titles I'll have to look up.
ReplyDeleteWe have lots of overlap here! A few I have never come across before, as well as some that are on my to-read list (Abercrombie, Mieville, Wolfe's "Wizard Knight" books...) It's very cool that you've asterisked Rohan's Winter of the World -- totally underappreciated work IMO!
ReplyDeleteThe first book is excellent; the second & third don't quite live up, but still a good trilogy. I loe the world. The prequels are pretty great - have you seen those? Insofar as I know they're UK only, but shipping isn't terrible. I'll post my runesmith class sometime.
